Travel info
Unaccompanied minors
Children can fly with us on their own — with a little paperwork and a member of staff looking after them from door to door.
Who counts as an unaccompanied minor
- Children under 5 years old may not travel without a parent or guardian on the same flight.
- Children aged 5 to 11 travelling without an adult must be booked as unaccompanied minors and are escorted by our staff.
- Young people aged 12 to 15 may travel as adults, or you can request the escort service for them.
Booking the service
- The service must be requested when the booking is made, and at least 48 hours before departure.
- Seats are limited on each flight, so early booking is advised.
- Unaccompanied minors travel on direct flights only.
- A handling fee applies per child, per flight.
At the airport
- The adult dropping the child off must complete the unaccompanied minor form and stay in the terminal until the flight has departed.
- Full details of the person collecting the child, including their identification, must be given at check-in.
- The child is only released to the named person on presentation of ID. If nobody arrives, the child stays in our care and the departure contact is called.
What to prepare
- Photo identification or a birth certificate for the child
- Any medication, clearly labelled, with written instructions
- A snack, a jumper and something to keep them occupied on board
