Travel info

Special assistance & pets

Tell us what you need when you book, and we will have it ready at the airport.

Requesting assistance

  • Request assistance at least 48 hours before departure so we can plan for it.
  • The number of assisted passengers per flight is limited by aircraft type and crew ratios.
  • Arrive early — assisted boarding takes place before general boarding.

Reduced mobility

  • Wheelchair assistance is available to and from the aircraft.
  • Your own wheelchair travels free of charge in the hold. Battery-powered chairs need advance approval and the battery type must be declared.
  • Passengers who cannot move unaided in an emergency travel with a companion who is able to assist them.

Medical needs

  • Medical clearance is required if you have recently had surgery or a serious illness.
  • Carry medication in your hand baggage, in its original packaging, with a prescription or doctor's letter.
  • Approval is needed in advance for portable oxygen concentrators and similar equipment.
  • Stretcher cases and incubators cannot be carried on our scheduled flights.

Sight and hearing

Guide and assistance dogs travel in the cabin with the correct documentation. Our crew will give you an individual safety briefing and can guide you on and off the aircraft.

Travelling with pets

  • Pets travel as checked baggage in an approved, leak-proof and well-ventilated carrier.
  • Space must be booked in advance and is confirmed on a first-come basis.
  • Bring current vaccination records and any permits required by the county or country you are travelling to.
  • The animal, its carrier and food are weighed together and charged at the applicable excess rate.
  • We may decline to carry an animal that appears unwell, distressed or aggressive, or one in a carrier that is not suitable.
